It’s starting to get hot here and I wonder this question every day I sit in my muggy office half sweating all day. The whole vibe is casual, no real dress code at all but it is an office that you’d expect some degree of competence and professionalism. My usual attire is dresses with kimonos if the straps are thin, or flowy skirts with a modest top. Very comfy and boho. I question the expectations of women in the American culture constantly… why cant too much of shoulders show at work? What’s wrong with an inch of midriff showing? Not massive cleavage, wouldn’t be a huge issue for me anyways. Why are skirts above the knee ok but god forbid my back show? About half the job is sales, and I sell better when I feel trendy and put together within my own style, and COMFY. A maxi skirt with a loose crop top I don’t have to adjust tucking back in would be amazing. So let me have it, what do you think? submitted by /u/Superb_Cake_123
