Claude Code suddenly became much worse for me today Not sure if anyone else is seeing this, but Claude Code started acting weird today. By default it now seems to create sessions with Sonnet, and when I try to use Opus with 1M context, I get this: So I’m back to 200k context, which feels brutal for coding workflows. One serious question / task, and the context is already basically gone. The whole point of Claude Code for me was that I could keep large projects, logs, errors, previous attempts, and agent notes in context without constantly micromanaging everything. With 200k, it feels like I’m back to fighting the tool instead of using it. Maybe this is an account / rollout / plan issue, but from the user side it feels like a pretty massive downgrade.
