Hi everyone, I’m 23 and my girlfriend is 24. We’ve been dating for four years and moved to a different continent together. Things are starting to turn towards engagement and I’m very excited to propose to her. However, I’ve grown up without a father and my mom never remarried. My question is what do you consider when proposing and what should I think through? My biggest nerve about the situation is that she wants me to get her parents blessings (I don’t think they take our relationship seriously). Anyway, any tips or ways to think about proposing from a man’s perspective would be great. I’d ask one of my married friends, but I don’t know any lol. submitted by /u/SorbetEmbarrassed949
