Hi everyone, I’m currently looking to upgrade to the $100/mo Max (5x) tier to support an intensive daily development workflow, and I’d love to get some feedback from power users regarding quota durability under heavy, manual coding sessions. To show my homework and context: My daily stack is entirely full-stack (TypeScript, Nuxt, Flutter) and I work out of the Zed editor. I plan to use the Claude Max quota heavily alongside Claude Code in the terminal to analyze my workspaces, generate UI components with Tailwind, and debug architecture. I’ve been evaluating the Codex 5x tier, but their recent shift to measuring “reasoning time” makes it drain way too fast when doing deep context analysis. Since Anthropic expanded limits recently, I’m leaning towards Claude Max, but I want to make sure the token consumption won’t bottleneck me when dealing with large codebases: For those running 6-8+ hour intensive manual coding sessions using Claude Code to index and read local files, how well does the 5x limit hold up? Does context bloat from re-reading multi-file workspaces eventually trigger the rate limits? Are there any specific workspace structuring tips (like optimizing .claudeignore or using /compact effectively) that you’ve found essential to make the Max 5x quota stretch through a full, heavy workday?
