Jagex knows when they intend to shut the event off, it would take 12 extra seconds to include a line at the end of the announcement blog saying when it is planned to end. And on the insane off chance they truly don’t have an end in mind when they post it, they could at least give a few days warning in an update before it goes offline. It’s not like someone walks into the office that morning and goes “I think today feels like the right time to shut this off” And if your only contribution to this will be “you had time/why didn’t you do it earlier”

- Sometimes life happens and a mini holiday in a video game isn’t the priority, but you’d still like to get it done at some point
- Whether or not people could have done it earlier has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Jagex could communicate it better with next to no effort at all. submitted by /u/traevyn
