Some thoughts The real risk of AI is that we rely on it for our hardest and most emotionally taxing decisions, thereby reducing her inherent ability to make such decisions. By offloading our most emotionally taxing decisions to a machine, we are effectively participating in cognitive and moral deskilling. Think of your brain like a muscle. When you ask an AI to decide which school is best for your children or which career path to take, you are essentially asking someone else to do the heavy lifting for you. Over time, that muscle atrophies. The ultimate “advantage” of AI, its cold, emotionless logic, is also its greatest trap. It offers us an easy escape from the burden of being human.
