I have been with my boyfriend for about 3.5 years, both in our mid to late 20’s. Our relationship is generally good and we enjoy spending time together. Recently he told me something that caught me off guard. Apparently the first time he ever saw me was in a video where I was hooking up with one of his friends. That’s what made him interested in me. After that he added me on Snapchat through a mutual friend, we ended up hanging out, and we’ve basically been together since. Before we dated I had hooked up with a few people in his friend group, which he knew about, but he never mentioned that he had actually seen that video before we met. Finding that out years later surprised me, especially when we first started hanging out he didnt even bring up anything of knowing (i knew he probably heard but he didnt make it obvious like his friends did) He says he finds it “sexy”. We’ve been together a while but it still confuses me because I would expect most people to feel jealous or uncomfortable in that situation. He has also stated he wouldn’t mind having a 3sum with me and another guy. Has anyone been in a situation like this? How would you interpret it, and how can I ask him more directly about how he actually feels without it turning into sarcasm or avoidant submitted by /u/melissaferusa
