So, as far as I see it, there are two possibilities how this AI evolution turns out: A) Singularity - which means, that most jobs are gone & automated by AI, most people have some sort of universal basic income, and can go after their hobbies, or work whatever they like to. B) Countries, Companies (or very rich individuals) want to be ahead of each over, because they understand that the one who is behind, could become the future “slave” of the other… That leads to fights and wars, maybe in a underground way (or not so obvious, as wars are), but still to a merciless confrontation. (creating drones & robots, giving them autonomous decision processes, authorising to kill etc.) It could lead to any kind of clash. In my opinion, AI will lead us to both of it… The real crux of this evolution is, what will AI (independently) do - and maybe think? As of now, some AI researches warn of dangers that autonomous AI could bring. But the rivalty or competition which countries (or companies) have, is preventing to truly coordinate and analyze the danger in a unbiased way. Whole set of problems here. submitted by /u/DgtlDev

I don’t understand why AI Rationalists aren’t capable of seeing the hard truth. Capitalism is incapable of developing a benevolent AI.
