OpenCode supports skills, subagents, pretty much everything that makes claude code great, but you can use it with a subscription OpenAI account, and the $20 plan on GPT 5.3 Max lasts almost as much as my Max x5 plan on Opus 4.6 High. I ran out of my weekly allowance for my Max plan and been using OpenCode with Codex and it’s been really nice. Same CC skills, same subagent workflow. submitted by /u/LinusThiccTips
