I have supervised about 30 students in the last 2 years (and more in the last 15) and there is definitely a shift in what students learn/memorize as experience (not to say in coding skills) - and it is ok. Or worrying. How difficult is it to explain the code you (co-)produce? Do you still feel the dopamine in learning a programming language? What methodology have you set up to grow your coding expertise with AI/LLMs? What new skills do you think you are growing compared to students 10 years ago?
