Back in my bachelor’s days I was kind of a dick. I hooked up a lot, kept things casual, and honestly I could be pretty cold and toxic. I was attracting attention from women across different age groups and didn’t really care much about relationships. Then I met this girl who basically gave me an ultimatum: change or walk away. And I actually did change. I stopped the hookups, stopped smoking weed, stopped flirting around. I focused on getting my life together, got a decent job, started being more ambitious about my career, and tried to be a genuinely good boyfriend. I became emotionally invested, the whole thing. We were together for about three years. And recently I found out she cheated on me… with a guy she met in a bar me. So yeah. I went from being the carefree, toxic hookup guy to trying to be the stable “nice” partner, cut out a lot of the stuff I used to do, and this is how it ended. Not really sure what to make of it right now. submitted by /u/Many-Guard-2310
