Legitimate question, btw. I hear tales of “one man companies” where it’s one guy and several AI agents – with person claiming that this is the future. Or recent news of Jack Dorsey laying off 40% of its workforce because of AI. And many other CEOs alluding to similar futures. AI companies could capitalise on this. They could spin off their own companies that are highly profitable because they require very little human workers; they could build custom models and agents to fill their need, and make lots of money, right? But instead they are giving the technology for free and suffering financial losses. What gives? submitted by /u/cbars100
