Hey, everyone! I’m not sure if this is the right place to post…but I figured my BF can’t be the only one with this problem! So…yeah. He’s the kind of guy who - if he shaves at 8:00 AM - is going to have visible stubble by 10:00 AM. Which is, of course, fine!…except that I’m a woman with a pointy chin and very soft, sensitive skin. So, anytime we progress beyond a quick peck on the lips, I end up looking like I faceplanted on pavement. I’m not exaggerating at all - after all relatively quick little make out session the other day, I was rubbed so raw, people were literally stopping me on the street to ask if I was ok, or needed help! I kept kind of hoping that I’d build up calluses or something, but it’s just not happening. I get all scratched up, I bleed a bit (if we really get into it), I scab up, scabs fall off, and the cycle repeats with no change. Oh, and let’s not even get into the time he tried going down on me. Owwwwwwww! He has tried growing a beard - and using some kind of softening beard oil - but it just resulted in me getting scratched up AND breaking out (plus, I know he’s make the sacrifice…but he HATES having a beard!). He has tried shaving with a fresh razor anytime I come over, but still no dice. It’s like even the prickles BENEATH his skin are out for blood! Sooo…errr…sorry for the ramble. TL;DR - how do you guys with A) ever present (coarse) beard stubble and B) significant others with really sensitive skin alleviate the issue? …Do I just need to start preemptively slapping a bandaid wherever his face might go? 😂 Thanks for your time and help, guys! submitted by /u/KnightsWhoPlayWii
