Good evening My parents gifted me and my sibling the property they live in under usufruct (I had to look up the work, in German it’s called Niessbrauchrecht). The property is in another EU country. Now, is anyone in the same situation and can elaborate how you handled the tax return? Does it fall under wealth tax (unbewegliches vermögen) and is therefore taxed? I read online that those who live in the property aka my parents would need to pay any tax, but it’s not in Switzerland so there is no imaginative rental yield (eigenmietwert).
