Original Reddit post

This question has probably been asked before in some form or another. I’ll try anyway. What is the reason for the hysterical AI slop phobia you encounter in various subreddits? You ask a question, mention that in some vague connection AI was also involved in gathering information for that question, and a certain portion of the respondents completely lose it and go off ranting about AI slop. You create some content, and even if you formulated and typed the substance entirely yourself but include an AI-generated graphic, a significant portion of the respondents flip out again, often missing the actual topic entirely — the main thing is that AI slop got bashed. You mention in some reply to a post, in a subordinate clause, a positively framed aspect of AI, and immediately the reply gets downvoted.
