I foolishly use dating apps and whenever I’m swiping through so many profiles mention something about moving or visiting Japan. I get it, it’s really a cool country with lots of history, culture, and tourism. But it’s always Japan and more often then not, their reason for wanting to move or visit is because of anime or Pokémon. I want to visit, but more to see the history, architecture, and have the anime tourism be a small part of it. The only answer I can think of is that a lot of these men view Japan in this narrow view based on anime and only the Instagram worthy tourism. submitted by /u/ConstructionDecon
