I switched to the Claude Code VSCode extension after reading that Claude is ‘much more generous’ with tokens than Cursor. I’m working on a project, nothing crazy, I don’t just let agents go wild with huge tasks, and I hit my limit after less than 2 hours of coding. I check to make sure the default is Sonnet, yes. Is that typical? I wouldn’t hit any limits in Cursor until mid-end of the month with the amount of coding I’m doing (I will typically go over and pay a bit, but that’s ok). Not a great first experience. submitted by /u/brank
