A really interesting conversation with two professors in clinical psychiatry who researches in AI. One calls the entire field psychotic, whilst the other says; talking to a chatbot is like develing oneself into narcissism, which is highly attractive to humans. A quite different perspective than the normal one in the space of AI. A math phd student on YouTube (Easy Rider) - makes videos about Grok, ChatGPT etc( the 200$ pro versions) can’t understand his theorems. They misunderstand and collapse while doing it. Neil DeGrasse Tyson has even said - I think it was on a diary of a CEO - that Musk’s idea of going to Mars is incredibly absurd. It’s such an arduous and long journey that it’s impossible. Meanwhile Klarna is rehiring the humans they let go due to implementation of AI. The AI, which was ChatGPT, couldn’t lift the assignment. So are Silicone valley and San Fran all just delusional, and spreading it down the chain to the consumers and everybody who wants to listen - what do you think? submitted by /u/NoSleepTillDawn
