I always paid for a year and forgot about it. I play a week here, 2 weeks there. Overall my tracker says i didn’t play for about 6 months last year. That’s 6 months paid for but not played. With the price increases i figured it’s better to just pay monthly now as the gap is so small. However, why even do that? Bonds cost the same. Just buy a few bonds and use them whenever you play. Safe yourself the cash. Feel like playing? Just redeem a bond and you can play for 14 days. Feel like playing more? Redeem another.
