Claude is very bad in going through lists consistently, and will skip things because it deems stuff not worth it. You cannot change this, it is inherent in how LLMs work. But there are workarounds. Simple situations: Convert the list to a checkbox list, and tell claude to check the box when doing the list item, and to make sure last checbox is reached. Also tell it to keep the list for referencing purposes. Complex situations: On workflows, like for example going through pr comments, tell claude to use a plan file, and first write a formatted list with actionable bool flags, like fixed, approved, replied, etc. Then tell claude it needs to go through the steps and keep the plan up to date between resolving items in the plan. submitted by /u/hiskias
