At lunchtime I got asked on the street if I liked rock music to start the conversation. Apparently the dude was from Estonia and in the band Defrage and they try to get some publicity oldschool style since streaming music is horrible for musicians. That’s why they try and sell CDs with an QR download printed on them since barely anyone can listen to CDs anymore. And that they will record their new album in Cologne on the weekend. I didn’t have any cash on me and definetly didn’t want to pay with paypal since the fees are really high. So I just told him that’s it’s a cool idea and wished them luck. He already reacted annoyed. Wanted to see what they are about now and saw a couple of articles just from a couple months and 3 days ago that there is a scam describing exactly the same. Defrage Band from estonia trying to cell CDs in multiple areas. So I hope that others see this early enough. submitted by /u/Yirishu
