I’m getting a vasectomy and I know you have to ejaculate 20 times after the procedure then give a sperm sample examination. I heard this part is done at the hospital and they give you a room and magazines apparently. I feel like it’s a little weird just to rub one out at the doctors office, can anyone confirm or say what your experience was like? submitted by /u/Mellowslum

Got a vasectomy back in 2023. Doc sad to heal for 2 day when I could resume normal function. They sent me home with 2 samples cups and instructions. Bring in the 10th sample, to check for sperm. This should be negative and if it is they recommendstill using protection just incase of living sperm still in your system ahead of the cut off.
They wanted a 2nd sample after 3 months to ensure there was nothing. All samples were collected at home and brought in with in a few hours of collection.
