The Pentagon Maven System, built by Palantir which uses Claude, leverages classified data from satellites and other intelligence sources for real-time targeting. Reports indicate that it is being used in the military operations in Iran. Palantir and Anthropic have had a DoD centric partnership since 2024. Anthropic was the first to sign an agreement with the Pentagon for classified use in 2025. What is new now other than the politics of the situation?
