Hi I have installed claude code inside of VS Code, subscribed to the Pro plan (20$/month) and wanted to build a test project that analyses files on my computer, then uses AI to create a new file. Claude Code did all the heavy lifting for me, create test data and Javascript files. My problem is authentification. For some reason there are several ways to authenticate claude code. I am authenticated inside of VS Code but to run my script using an API key I need additional credits (API key from here: https://platform.claude.com/dashboard ) i did discuss with Claude code for a while but I didn’t manage to use the Claude Code pro subscription for my test project. Apparently there should be a file called credentials.json in an folder called .claude, but it is not there and claude is not helping me to create it. It keeps saying that I should run “claude logout” but that does nothing. How can I use claude code pro subscription instead of API credentials for my testproject? thank you! submitted by /u/Fraumitkindern
