Grüezi everyone, I’ve been living in Switzerland for a bit over 7 years now and the first years were honestly quite chaotic. I moved across several cantons, changed permit status from student → work → B → C, moved through multiple WGs, dealt with taxes, health insurance, and all the usual admin. At some point things became much easier, but I remember how confusing everything felt in the beginning. Especially because information in Switzerland is often very cantonal or even communal , which makes it hard to find clear answers online. Out of curiosity I started experimenting with a side project (I called it SwissGPT lol): a small Swiss-specific AI assistant that focuses only on Switzerland. The idea is that it would help navigate things like permits, taxes, health insurance comparisons, moving cantons, salaries, 3rd pillar, etc., while taking into account the canton and municipality. The goal would be to reduce the typical “where do I even start?” moment many newcomers have. I’m currently still experimenting with the concept and trying to understand whether something like this would actually be useful or not. So I’m curious: • What was the most confusing system you had to figure out in Switzerland? • What information was hardest to find when you moved here? • Would a tool focused only on Swiss bureaucracy actually be helpful? Would love to hear other people’s experiences. submitted by /u/Latter_Struggle_153
