But let’s set the base line Before the membership price changes that happened on the 27th of September 2024 we had a monthly cost of $12.49, or an annual cost of $79.99. If we were to compare how much it would cost to buy a year of membership at monthly prices, that would be $149.88. Which makes the annual cost a 46.64% discount. Jagex raised the price to a monthly cost of $13.99 and an annual cost of $99.49. Again, monthly for a full year would cost $167.88. Annual thus gives a 40.74% discount. That’s a 12.65% decrease in value. Now, monthly costs $14.99 a month, and annually it costs $131.88 a month. A year of membership paid monthly now costs $179.88. Annual thus gives a 26.68% discount. From Sept 2024 to now that’s a further 34.51% decrease, or before Sept 2024 to now a total decrease of 42.80% for the value or deal of annual membership. If the annual membership kept the same deal of a 46.64% discount the annual price would only be $96 now days with a monthly sub of $14.99 ($179.88) Monthly to month cost has only increased by 20.02% (12.49->14.99).
