I’m curious about how people have started using Claude and Claude code outside of the obvious use cases (i.e., help produce code for work/big projects). I am trying to think outside the box for how Ican improve my life using these tools in little ways. Here are two examples of what I mean: Every morning when I turn my computer on, the first thing I do is launch three Firefox windows. I set the first to gmail, the second to my calendar/Google Maps, and the third to Wunderground/Google Keep/Youtube Music. I then arrange all of these on my vertical monitor in order. This probably takes me sixty seconds. I used Claude Code to write a powershell script that does all of this for me on launch so when I sign in everything is in its right place. Incredibly trivial, but it makes my life just a little better. The other thing is that for one of my contracts I have to use their VPN service to access their network. When this is installed on my machine it blocks traffics to various websites. Installing it and reinstalling it is tedious. To uninstall I have to go through the whole song and dance of opening the Control Panel, finding the programs manager, finding the program in the list, then uninstalling it. I had Claude write a batch script that does all of that for me so that I can just double click an icon and launch the software uninstaller. It probably saves me sixty seconds, but it’s one less thing that adds friction to my life. I’m curious to know if others have streamlined the little things in their life with Claude, and if so, what those things are. I’m trying to think outside the box on where I can smooth out annoyances in my life. submitted by /u/IlliterateJedi
