Disclaimer: I know most people here couldn’t stand high school and are glad that phase is over, and I understand that. But there’s one thing I do miss: the simplicity of it all. No bills or expenses, no real stress—just school, home, and hanging out with friends for the most part. Speaking of friends—especially if you stayed in the same school district from K-12—think about it: you spent years seeing the same kids in class, hallways, lunch, after-school activities. You all grew from cartoon-watching kids, to playing at the park, to young adults. And then college hits, you enter the real world, and you barely see any of them again. People you spent so much time around, whether they were actual friends or not. Not only that, but you likley moved out from your parents place afterwards and even though you still love them and keep in touch as much as you can, that person who came home everyday and had his bedroom upstairs is no more. When you graduate High School, its like a farewell to your inner child and your previous self. It’s kind of sad. submitted by /u/SpecialistTeach9302
