I asked my doctor to transfer me to a therapist recently, I feel it is important to incl. that my actual doctor is currently not working so I am temporarily under one of her colleagues, who seems not that happy to be of help. Either way long story short she told me that she can’t think of a fit therapist and that I should do my own research and contact these therapists myself. Absolute pain since about none of them emailed me back and she said she wouldn’t transfer me until I got the okay from the therapist for the vacant spot. One therapist did email me back and once I explained that I needed 2 seconds to let my doctor transfer me over, his once vacant spot evaporated into thin air. Now I found another one that said they had the space, the date provided is a month away can I say yes to the date and then ask my doctor for the transfer or would that then not be covered by my insurance cause the transfer needed to happen before the first appointment was discussed?
