Everyone always references new technology like the cotton gin or the printing press as replacing jobs. Yea they replaced some jobs, sped up the process, and increased efficiency. That won’t happen with AI. This is a totally different ball game. We’re not replacing medial tasks with machines, we’re replacing human thought. There’s companies out there who would rather take the intuition of a computer over an actual human who has experience in his field. This is fundamentally different from the industrial revolution. We’re not replacing workers, were replacing thinkers. submitted by /u/Morganrow
