I want to share my experience with Outlier AI because I feel like people need to know what they’re actually signing up for. I applied for the Real Coder project and completed their assessment. After submitting, they switched me over to a completely different project called Ather - no real explanation, just “here, do this one instead.” So I went ahead and did that assessment too. All in, I spent roughly 3 hours completing both. After submitting the Ather assessment, I got a popup saying the team would review my work. Then, within literal seconds, I received a notification that my onboarding had failed. Same result for the Real Coder project. No feedback. No explanation. Just an instant rejection after hours of unpaid work. This raises a serious question - are they actually evaluating anything, or is the rejection automated regardless of performance? Because there’s no way a human reviewed a coding assessment in under a second. submitted by /u/Beneficial-Pen-9300
