For the longest time in my life, I have been a submissive little boy who was extremely brutalized and traumatized. I develop, for survival, the fawn response to any anxiety or conflict in order to not be beaten, sexually abused, loved eventually. As a result, I have a wide range of emotions but could fear hatred or anger. Which is core emotions in life, but indeed disabled in submissive men. Some other men, would have probably develop the fight response. They would get a hit out of domination others, feeling powerful, and would on the contrary only know about hatred and anger. Not being able to feel the other wide range of emotions the submissive men cannot feel. I feel like I’m in at a point in life where these two roads merge. If submissive and dominant are roles most men play in life, what is left when they don’t play these roles anymore ? I think it is the true self. Has anyone ever experienced something similar in life ? If so, how did you get to merge these two aspects of your personality ? Thanks. submitted by /u/Zestyclose_Elk_9356
