It seems like a huge factor in growing up and becoming a man of strong character is that you stop relying on parents/family/friends, maybe anyone (?), for the feeling of being nurtured or taken care of… but what happens after that? One obvious answer is that you take care of yourself, you get friends and a cool life and achievements that help you to feel like you are a winner, or at least that you’re being cared for, even if it’s from yourself… BUT! I’m curious what you all think about it… is it really that simple? I’m asking because, if a man is slow to grow up does that in large part mean that he’s bad at taking care of himself? Let me know what you think, bc it seems too simple, I feel like i’m missing something here… submitted by /u/Unhappy-Term7834
