My fiancé said he understands why men want a man cave because the rest of the house becomes too feminine when it becomes a family home. In jest, I asked him to point out some specific items that he thought were “feminine” in our house that was formally his bachelor pad. He pointed out a vase with flowers on the counter and a set of orange/rust colored curtains in our breakfast nook. These are plain orange black-out curtains with grommets that replaced an identical set of black-out curtains that were gray. He said that “only women or gay men hang orange curtains.” I thought it was funny because even though I did hang them, I didn’t think of them as “feminine.” But I am curious as to whether or not this is a one-sided opinion or a general consensus. So straight men of reddit, would you hang a plain orange curtain, or is it considered a “feminine” thing? submitted by /u/HedgieCake372
