I wanted to share this with Mod Blossom, as she’s currently the Jagex staff member that interacts with mobile players. Hopefully with some luck she might see it and provide us some inside knowlege, information, or give us an update on the state of the game. Here’s where I’m at as an iPad player… My yearly membership price is up 80% since 2021. ability to swap back to my old monthly price was deleted without warning The plugin API was basically cancelled We’ve had no progress on HD in 6 months (Now 4+ years of waiting) Menu entry swapper is still broken My loot tracker has reset itself twice this year There’s no content updates to look forward to until the end of the year To summarise: I am feeling pretty bummed about the state of the game this year. Yeah, I am still having fun working on my Achievement diary cape. But it does make me reconsider wether I’ll keep playing after I max in a couple years. Mobile’s had the short end of the stick for a long time now, and I always assumed it would improve eventually, but It’s been so long since we had a client update, and the one’s we did actually get are so undercooked. Our tile markers cant have text Our tile markers don’t have multiple colours We cant import/export them Jagex coded in loot beams but told the players to activate them via plugins due to time constraints like 2 years ago?, completely ignoring that there are no plugins on their own client The entity highlighting fixed last month is still not working properly (e.g Doom) I really hope Jagex can turn things around for this client this year with HD and bug fixes. The we’ve had a couple minor bug fixes every month, but I’d love if Mod Blossom could do us the honour of a proper blog or message on the state of Mobile and some realisitic timelines or progress updates regarding everything mentioned above.
