I’m late to this but Anthropic told the Pentagon no in mass surveillance and to autonomous weapons. The government’s response? Blacklist them. Label them a national security threat. Same classification as Huawei! Hours later, OpenAI signed a replacement deal. Sam Altman said it had the same “red lines” as Anthropic’s. But OpenAI agreed to let the Pentagon use its tech for “any lawful purpose.” I saw a boycott campaign called QuitGPT claims 1.5 million people have taken action.
