Hi everyone, I’m a B.Sc. Economics (VWL) grad in Zurich, available immediately, and considering the Audit path. My goal is the eidg. dipl. Wirtschaftsprüfer title. Quick stats: • Skills: ok Excel skills, R, Stata. • Languages: German (C1), English (C1). • Background: E-commerce project lead & tech-startup internship (Webdesign lmao). Three questions: The VWL Factor: How hard is it to land a Junior Audit role without a pure Accounting degree? Will Big 4 consider me if I’m willing to learn Swiss GAAP FER/IFRS on the fly? Timing: Since I’m available “ab sofort,” should I target smaller firms or try for an off-cycle internship at a Big 4 to get my foot in the door? The ROI: Is the CPA still the “Gold Standard” for exit ops in Zurich, or is the Busy Season burnout too high? Appreciate any “real talk” from those currently in the field! submitted by /u/drebildam
