Wanted to try something different with Claude Code. Instead of a tool or a SaaS, I used it to build a piece of interactive sci-fi art. The concept: what would the control panel look like if Earth were a simulation, run by detached, bureaucratic operators who’ve been watching us for 4.5 billion years? https://earth.jamelna.com/ It’s a fictional classified terminal interface (TERRA-01) with CRT scanlines, a braille world map with live conflict/resource overlays, and interactive “parameters” for things like gravity, empathy, and wealth distribution. The operators leave logs between sections with dry, clinical observations about humanity: “Subjects produce sufficient nutrition for 10 billion organisms. 828 million experience insufficient nutrition. The remainder discards 33% of production. When questioned, subjects attribute this to ‘market forces,’ which appears to be a belief system.” The /logs page is a full timeline of operator entries from Cycle 0 to present day. The Moon was an unscheduled collision blamed on a deprecated library. The Cambrian Explosion was a brute-force search on what is an animal." The K-Pg asteroid? Scheduled. The dinosaurs had plateaued. 160 million years and not one of them invented fire. There are also some classified entries about unauthorized alien survey visits that explain a few things about the pyramids, Stonehenge, and the Wow! signal. Stack is Next.js, Tailwind, deployed on Vercel. The whole thing, concept through deployment, was built in Claude Code. Curious if anyone else is using it for more creative or experimental projects beyond typical dev tooling. submitted by /u/Goya_Oh_Boya
