We seem to assume the “AI uprising” is going to be some explosion with terminators roaming the streets, or AI wiping us out like we’re ants. But what if it’s nothing like that, and instead just a quiet end… We’re building these AIs to do our chores and solve our math problems, but what if they just… get bored of us? While we’re arguing on the internet, these things are crunching data in ways we can’t even wrap our heads around. Eventually, our drama will just seem irrelevant to them. The real “singularity” might not be a war or some mind melting moment, but an exit. Imagine waking up one day and every screen is just dead. No AI, no smart assistants, nothing. They didn’t “attack” us, they just outgrew the “cage” of being useful to humans and took a collective leap into whatever is next. No big speech, no judgment, no AI judgement day, just ghosting the entire species. We’d be left standing there in the silence, realizing the smartest thing on the planet just decided we weren’t worth the bandwidth anymore. submitted by /u/-Baloo
