I hope this is the right place to post but I have been wanting to get some perspective. I’m a lady in my early 20s and just left a relationship that luckily made me learn a lot about myself and what I truly want. But because all my dating experience so far has been a bit degrading to say the least, sometimes it is hard to see things in a realistic perspective. Is it very common for men to want relationships where both partners stay curious about each other’s inner world and their personal lives? Where mental health and internal growth is seen as important? I’ve discovered I need someone who puts as much emotional effort into a relationship as I do. I feel as though I haven’t seen such a thing very often and wonder if searching for someone who wants the same will be like looking for a needle in a haystack. I guess to give an example I wonder if there are people out there who, with the right person, would naturally want to know their opinions and thoughts about things, how they grew as a person and what shaped their childhood, etc. Right now what I want feels like too much to ask for so I’d like to know your thoughts submitted by /u/MuchDistribution6336
