I think both the playerbase & Jagex kinda misunderstood why ship combat felt so bad, and why it still feels bad after today’s update. currently, the only thing to do at sea is farm basically slayer mobs, which is a fine first step, but the skill’s been out for half a year and its time to take more then just first steps. even a crappy mid-game boss at sea with a few movement mechanics would go a long way to help sailing feel like a modern release. or maybe some rare monsters that can spawn anywhere at sea, and then migrate with an unlimited wander distance for players to hunt down, or feel surprised by. maybe some hostile random events like back in the day to make the waters feel dangerous. submitted by /u/kxwbie
