My girlfriend has been fighting with her parents so I figured we could just have a chill day at my house. I thought it would help her to get out of that environment (she doesn’t have a car and can’t drive). I thought she’d be happy to see me with her favourite coffee but she was understandably annoyed regarding her family situation. Fair enough I guess, it was a silent ride home. We usually yap but she was a one word person today. Didn’t have too much to say, didn’t ask anything. We started watching our favourite show at home and she was just silent and we spent 3 hours just sitting next to each other. No cuddling or anything, just sitting next to each other without saying much. I tried to touch her arm or her leg or rub her back or something but she wasn’t into any of it. At this point, I honestly wished I never picked her up. She was so snappy, easily irritated and just had a very short trigger. What would’ve been a laugh between us would become an argument or a side glance from her. I dropped her home and honestly have no desire to see her at all. Is it wrong that I don’t want to hang out with her until she gets out of whatever mood she’s in? Am I supposed to put up with this? submitted by /u/Open_Address_2805
