I’m dealing with a situation in Switzerland and want to understand if this is normal or how others handled it. I ordered an item from Galaxus (~CHF 470). The parcel was marked as “delivered” by Swiss Post with “deposit authorization” (no signature). Problem: I never received it. I checked: mailbox and entrance area neighbors building common areas Nothing. Important context: there have been multiple missing packages in my building recently a few days later, Swiss Post also misdelivered some of my other parcels (they corrected it after) Galaxus response: they refused liability because of “delivery authorization” they say risk passed to me once marked delivered they offered max CHF 200 (goodwill) if I go through insurance They did NOT open a formal investigation with Swiss Post. I escalated to legal protection insurance now. Questions: Is this standard practice in Switzerland? Has anyone successfully challenged this kind of refusal? Does “delivered without signature” really count as proof of delivery? Trying to understand if I’m missing something or if this is worth pushing further. submitted by /u/Drughettos
