Since the six month anniversary of my brother’s death has now passed, I wanted to take my time to come to Reddit and have an open discussion about the topic of men’s mental health. How do you guys take care of your mental health and wellbeing privately? What are the signs that you’re not doing well that you wish people saw? What helps/helped you when your mental health is/was at its lowest? If this is not the right place to ask, I’m sorry and I’d appreciate some tips where I could ask instead. Obviously your answers will not 100% fit my brother, but after losing every single man in my family to some sort of self inflicted death, I feel like I need to learn how to help or be more mindful of the signs men show in poor mental health.
