As a socially anxious person, I am very aware of the space I take up and fear that I’m in people’s way. I’ve never really considered that tall/large men might also have social anxiety and I want to know if that’s a thought that anyone gets, and if so how often and bad is it? And what do you do to avoid the feeling? Like for example on public transport like a train, do you prefer to stand instead of taking up seat? Asking for the reason that my dad is also socially anxious, and has spoken to me about how he doesn’t like how much space he takes up, and I’d like to hear how it impacts other men’s lives so I can better understand and learn about others who are different to me. submitted by /u/account912341
