as a preface, i am talking about wearing swim briefs for leisure not sports. as a gay man living in the US, swim briefs are largely sexualized. most gay men i know specifically seek out a swim brief that they consider to “show off their assets.” is this same thought process true for straight men, or men who live in areas where swim briefs are more normalized? how much thought goes into your selection? do you wear a swim brief as a form of “showing off” or is it just swim wear? i have a skewed perspective, so I’m curious where the general population falls on this. submitted by /u/mustached
