Tonight a coworker asked me why I (F30) have been single for so long (I am very open about it) he said he assumed that I was looking for something very specific. I found that very intriguing. I assume most think it’s due to baggage, that something may be wrong, but this made me think, pleasantly, otherwise. I really appreciated the perspective. I’m curious to know what your immediate assumption is of women who have been single for a long time? Should anyone care for my reasoning behind this question: I had a very abusive relationship in my teens. Since then I have been able to graduate college, travel the world alone, attain a great job and buy a home all on my own. Only recently have I started looking for a best friend to share it all with. submitted by /u/blondeboss101
