During 2020-2022, I was learning how to write code and design a few websites when following tutorials online. I got my account banned when chopping yew trees in the background in Edgeville. It felt stupid as I must have triggered their anti-cheat system when compiling code on the same computer, even though it was never connected to OSRS. I was only a f2p ironman so not really a big loss. Recently I have started playing again, but I am wondering if it’s safe to play at the same time while writing code? I currently play on my phone while working on my laptop, but I would rather be able to tab quickly between osrs and my projects. Is there a way to protect myself from falsely getting banned while coding websites? Even if I fully screen record and upload all my sessions, it’s not like they would manually review it anyway. My previous appeal was immediately denied when explaining what happened, so I haven’t taken a second chance. Any tips? submitted by /u/GMF_AB
