I like sailing. I think it’s fun and opens a lot of design space for the game. But guys we do not need to reinvent the wheel here. There are plenty of ways sailing could creatively influence combat encounters in the future, be it directly or indirectly. But to make it a core driving force in the combat design space feels like shoehorning in a new combat style for no reason and just trying to make it work after the fact. We don’t need to have this be a combat skill sucking dev time from more meaningful content. I would really prefer almost anything they’ve axed from the roadmap to focus on this content.
