I don’t know how I didn’t know about MEMORY.md until recently unless its new, but recently, CC was like, I’ll write this to my memory, so I was like, what is that! and started appending/using MEMORY. One issue I run into all the time is after compacting, my previous prompt usually ends in, “discuss with me, don’t do anything”, but if it compacts, mid investigation, it just starts doing. I told CC to write to its memory to stop this behavior, after context compact, be sure to summarize next steps before moving forward, and so far, I haven’t had it “do” without asking!
